New Short Film!

I've finally got new content for my channel, and huzzah it doesn't star me! Check out the new short at this link:

Click here

It was a pain (the annoying but good kind) to make but it taught me a lot about working with green screens and using whatever you have to make something work.

Anyway, I'll also give a quick update. I am currently hard at work on the machinima and I really can't wait to pick up the momentum. I think a lot of people forget that even hollywood films that take a long time to unveil have anxious fans but also anxious people working on them. So bear in mind I'm always looking forward to getting this thing going, making it the best it can be and getting it out to the public. Not that I have anything close to the fan base of a hollywood film, it's just interesting to think about. Well, I guess that's about it. Oh! Check out the machinima audition video again (here), because the role of Richards is open again!

Alright, that's it. Thanks for reading!

Update 7-10-2012

I've now hit a point where I don't know if I should release the Tokyo short film on YouTube or if I shouldn't. I'm not particularly happy with some of the shots and, for obvious reasons, I can't re-film them. I'm also not so happy with the presence of my braces in the film.
Which leads me to another point; after I have completed a few more projects (the machinima and some of my newly planned films), I may remove my early videos that contain my 'brace-face' self. That means I would remove "Filthy Ambitions," "Sweet Revenge," and the various channel updates. I would be removing them because the braces really do detract from the viewing experience, they affect my vocal performances and are a little embarrassing.
So anyway, don't plan on seeing the Tokyo short film released (maybe I'll post it to this blog, we'll see) and also expect that sometime in the future my old videos will be removed. It probably won't happen in the near future, it all just depends on when I get enough new content on the channel.

Update 6-4-2012

I'm getting very anxious. I'm nearing completion of my short film that was made in Japan and I'm almost ready to begin filming the machinima.
Really all that's left with the short film is a green screen shot, since I can't re-film a take on location in Japan, and some sound mixing and editing.
The machinima is a little bit trickier as I still need a few more recordings from the cast and a few more actresses in the cast. Filming shouldn't be too far away though and I've already knocked out some editing that doesn't require in-game footage.
I will continue to keep you guys posted as often as I can and I will have this short film finished and posted very soon.

New Short Film

While I was in Japan, I just had to make a short film actually filmed in the city. It's almost done and should be out on YouTube very soon. Check back to the blog to see when it will be released.

Thanks for reading, I'll have some more news on this film soon.

Update 4-8-2012

I'm posting today because I feel like I've given no information for a long time. I posted another update video to YouTube, which can be viewed here, and I am well at work on the machinima now. Auditions are still open and people are still being accepted into the cast so definitely keep sending in those auditions to wld3productions@yahoo.com.

I will begin production soon, I just need to get the necessary hardware and software to record Halo Reach footage (definitely not my video camera). I'll keep you guys posted on when I'm beginning production and when auditions are closed, but for now there's not much to say about it.

I am going to begin scripts for projects that will begin coming out once the machinima is finished. My focus is on the machinima, but I work better when I have many projects to work on at once. You can expect to see some more information on those films later. Anyways, that wraps up today's post and I hope I can post again next Sunday.

Update 2-14-2012

Just a quick update:
The auditions are going well and a people have already been cast. These auditions are still online and anyone is free to audition (all information is here).
The script is practically done, a few additions and alterations are being enacted on it but for the most part it is finished. I will be releasing a trailer once I have enough footage and enough voice acting done, so that shouldn't be coming out for a while but stay tuned to be the first to know.
Other than that just know that I'm hard at work and that I'm very excited about this project.

Update 1-10-2012

Well, the script is done; my machinima's script is finally done. Hallelujah!
I will be touching up the 60 page script by removing or altering scenes as right now it's a bit too long (though 60 pages would be about 45 minutes), but for the most part its done. That means I can finally start the voice acting part of this production. I'll be getting that informational video out soon so keep your eyes open.

Voice Acting Opportunities and Update 1-3-2012

Happy New Year and Merry Christmas!
I hope you all had a wonderful time last year with friends and family! I mostly spent time chilling with my family in Austria, and stressing over mock GCSEs coming up. With that said, I'm quite busy. But that doesn't mean I started the new year empty handed script wise. I'm currently working out ideas for an experimental film, another thriller and finishing a script for a Halo machinima. The drama/thriller machinima is about 30 pages long now and I'm very excited about it (I say it's a "drama/thriller" because its more a character study than a scary movie.)

*Now begins the "voice acting opportunities" portion of this post*

I do need boy and girl voice actors and body actors for in-game filming. If you are a good voice actor or are available for playing Halo for filming purposes, I will be posting videos to my YouTube channel that (for voice acting) outline which characters are available, how to make an audition and where to send it and (for body acting) playing times.

•To voice actors: Voice actors should be at least 15, but all they need really is a mature and developed voice. Voice actors should have some experience or should really enjoy acting. They should be able to display a wide range of emotions through their voices and (for some roles) should be able to do some form of accent (German, Russian, English etc.). Most roles will have American accents but some roles will need other ones.

•To body actors: I have made the sets for the movie but they might change over the next few weeks. Also there might be "dress codes" for Spartans (Note: all characters will be Spartans). They won't be too specific, I just need to differentiate characters for the audience. Body actors should be at least average players so as to keep the sessions stress free. Also, rough housing in-game during filming won't be appreciated.

(The number of actors, voice and body, will be specified in the video.)

Those videos will be up some time on the WLD3 Productions channel. Do note that I'm still getting everything set up hardware wise for the machinima and it likely won't be ready to be filmed for a while.  But I will keep you posted. Until next time-
